DOLE, merchant, Danville [Caledonia County, Vermont], was born 21 June 1859 at Danville [Caledonia County, Vermont], son of Joel R. and Emily (NUTTING) DOLE. Received his education in the public schools. Has always lived in Danville. He following farming previous to 1889, and since then has been in mercantile business. Republican; has been postmaster since 1897. Was a colonel on the staff of Governor C. J. BELL from 1904 to 1906. Has been secretary and treasurer of the Danville Creamery Association since its organization in 1891, and general manager of since 1900. In 1891 he [Nelson A. DOLE] married [Miss?] Susan M.
