George C. CARY, maple sugar dealer, St. Johnsbury [Caledonia County, 
Vermont], was born 07 March 1864 at Fort Fairfield [Aroostock County], Maine, 
his parents being Asa C. and Jessie J. (PRIESTLY) CARY. He was educated at 
the Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton [Aroostock County], Maine. Mr. 
CARY was engaged as a commercial traveler from 1884 to 1898. He has been a 
dealer in maple sugar since 1886, giving exclusive time to the work since the 
year 1898. Republican. In religious belief a Congregationalist. Member of 
the Eastern Frontier Lodge No. 112, Free & Accepted Masons, of Fort 
Fairfield, Maine; Independent Order of Odd Fellows. In 1898 Mr. [George C.] 
CARY married [Miss?] Annie M. PARTRIDGE of Skowhegan [Somerset County], 
Maine. They have three children: Clinton P., Madeline J., and Ruth E.
