Educated in the public schools of Groton and Wells River High School. In 1897 went to St. Johnsbury [Caledonia County, VT] and was engaged as clerk in the dry goods store of BROOKS & TYLER; later returned to Groton and was employed as clerk for HALL & COCHRAN, general store, 1899-1904, purchasing the business in 1904, which he has since conducted. In 1904 he married [Lee S. BLANCHARD] married [Miss?] Elizabeth HALL of Groton. They have two children, George H. and Marguerite M. Mr. BLANCHARD is a Republican. Methodist; deacon of the church and superintendent of the Sunday school. Member of Minerva Lodge No. 86, Free & Accepted Masons, of Corinth, and Mt.
