BICKFORD, farmer, Sheffield [Caledonia County, Vermont], was born 03 August 1866 at Glover [Orleans County, Vermont], son of Charles F. and Mahala (GRAY) BICKFORD. Educated in the public schools. After leaving school engaged in farming on the home farm two years; was employed on farms in Sheffield 1887-1894, and at Oxford, New Hampshire [text typo for Orford, Grafton County, New Hampshire?], 1894-1896; owned the Lyndonville and Sheffield mail route [both in Caledonia County, Vermont] 1896-1898; in 1898 purchased a farm at Sheffield, which he has since conducted. Republican; represented Sheffield in the Legislature 1906; road commissioner 1910-1908. Member of the Methodist Church of Sheffield. Member of Junior Order of Mechanics. In 1898 he [Francis E.
