July 5, 1842; came to Wisconsin with his parents when he was quite young, but soon returned to his native State, where he lived as a farmer until 1862; he then settled on a farm in Jefferson Co., Wis., which he sold in 1869; he owned the present farm of Mr. Montgomery about one year; settled on the farm he now owns of 120 acres, near the village of Hebron. He is raising, among other things, a grade of Holstein cattle and Poland-China hogs. Mr. Burnham is a stanch Republican, and has been Town Treasurer; he is liberal in his religious views.
