DANIEL BULLOCK, Superintendent of the Northwestern Manufacturing Company; born in Rehoboth, Bristol Co., Mass., Nov. 24, 1827; son of Cyril and Betsey (Perry) Bullock; came to Wisconsin in 1852, locating in Grant Co.; bought a farm of 240 acres in 1853; gave up farming; moved to Hebron, Jefferson Co.; entered the employ of Joseph Powers & Co., furniture manufacturers, till 1855; moved to Whitewater and engaged with George Esterly until 1861, when he leased the Bark River Mills (Hebron), and carried on business for three years; then moved to Oil Creek, Penn., where he operated in the works two years; then returned to Fort Atkinson, Wis., in 1866, and was appointed Superintendent of the Northwestern Manufacturing Company, which position he fills to-day. He married, in 1849, Miss Caroline Rowe, daughter of Ira Rowe, of Farmington, Conn.; have one child - D. Adelbert, born Jan. 31, 1851. They attend the Universalist Church; Democrat.
