He came to the United States in 1868, and to Fountain City the same year, where he worked by the day at different things until he started in business with his brother, Christ. Frederick CLAUSEN is a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Steuben Lodge, No. 280. Christ. CLAUSEN, hotel and saloon, Fountain City, was born in 1848 in Germany. He came to the United States in 1875. He is a fine musician, having traveled with the Swiss Bell Ringers for three years. He is also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Steuben Lodge, No. 280.
