Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, pp 117-118 Otto Ronald BENNETT, editor and publisher, Manchester [Bennington County, Vermont], was born 14 August 1866, son of George Walter and Julia Frances BENNETT. Educated at Burr and Burton Seminary, Manchester. Became apprentice to C. A. PIERCE, publisher of "Bennington Banner" 1884; was secretary and treasurer Ronald Printing Company, New York, 1888-1905; in 1905 purchased the "Manchester Journal;" has since been its editor and publisher. Served in Company K, Twenty-third Regiment, National Guard, New York, for six years. In 1892 he [Otto Ronald BENNETT] married Jessie STEWART of Bennington; they have four children, George Stewart, Otto Ronald, Marion Louise, and Jessie Jean. Mr. BENNETT is a Republican; in religious belief an Episcopalian. Past master Boiling Spring Lodge No. 152, Free & Accepted Masons, of Rutherford, New Jersey; member of Adoniram Chapter No. 18, Royal Arch Masons, of Manchester; past grand of Hope Lodge No. 50, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of Manchester.
