Co.; born in Luzerne Co., Penn; was a resident of New York State about nine years; came to Watertown in May, 1848; engaged in business as carpenter, contractor and builder until 1861, when he became connected with the railway company that he now represents in one of the most important and responsible positions of the management. April 2, 1843, he married Mary Harvey; she was born in Albany Co., N.Y.; they have five children – Louisa, Kate G., Jesse W., Annie and Mary Estelle.
