Whitewater, Walworth Co., Wis.; born in Edinburg, N.Y., Aug. 16, 1824; came to Wisconsin in 1857, and settled on his present farm, on Sec. 33, town of Koshkonong. Married, Nov. 28, 1849, Louise J. Ried, daughter of Francis Ried; have two children - Amos P., born Nov. 14, 1854; Louise, born April 4, 1858. Is a member of the Methodist Church; Democrat. He was in the 49th W.V.I., Co.
