JOACHIM ALWART,  farmer;  P.O. Watertown;  born in Germany in 
1831;  he came to America in 1851.  Married Miss Albertena Betow, of 
Johnstown, Rock Co., Wis., and lived there till 1866, when he moved to 
Watertown, bought a farm of 144 acres within the city limits and upon 
which he now lives;  he has five children – John, Bertha, Herman, 
George and William.  Mr. Alwart has been a prominent member of the 
Lutheran Church and has been a Trustee of the same for five years.
